Christine Estes Pullen, 96, homemaker, and resident of Columbia, died Friday, March 25, 2022 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care.
Born May 23, 1925 in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Estes and the late Annie Lou Collier Estes.
On September 23, 1944, she married Ed Pullen who preceded her in death on October 11, 2007. Mrs. Pullen was a graduate of Jones High School. She loved pie, working in her garden, flowers, visiting friends and fellow church members. Mrs. Pullen was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Endsley of Columbia; Tammy (Troy) Dugger of Centerville; Laura Tindall of Olathe, Kansas; sons, Larry (Nancy) Pullen of Lewisburg; Mike (Jacque) Pullen of Columbia; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Joan Worley; additional caregiver, Heather Taft; and several nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Watters; brother, Ed Hill Estes; sister, Della Mai Davis; and son-in-law, Tony Endsley.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Troy Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers include Elders and Deacons of Locust Street Church of Christ.
