Cherry Lynn Daugherty Cone, age 58, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brandon Cochran officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, June 11th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cherry was born in Davidson County on December 16, 1962 and was the daughter of William Daugherty and Beatrice Matlock Donnelly. She worked as a Nurse Assistant at Maury County Health Department and had a passion to take care of the elderly. She loved fishing, trail riding, collecting seashells and rocks. Her desire was to live on the beach. She especially loved her granny and pawpaw.
In addition to her parents, Cherry is survived by her son, Trey Cone of Florida; daughters, Amanda (Scott) Adcox of Centerville, TN, and Brandy (Kenneth) Murray of Eagleville, TN; sisters, Christie Barrett of Nashville, Mary Hazel Campbell of Lebanon, and Hope (Matt) Prater; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special aunt and uncle O.N. and Kat King; special friends, Cheri Lewis, Woody Jackson, and Kim Johnson; and lifetime friend, Ricky Anderson.
Cherry is preceded in death by her stepfather, Jim Donnelly; grandchild, Railand Murray; and great-grandchild, Isiah Starks; grandparents, Ernest and Leara Matlock; and one special cousin, Nelson King.
