Columbia Police Corporal Michael Johns Retires After 28 Years of Service

After more than 28 years of service to the Columbia community, Corporal Michael Johns has retired from the Columbia Police Department. Yesterday a retirement ceremony was held at the Police Department with co-workers, family, and friends.

Johns started his career with the Columbia Police Department back on August 22, 1994.

During his tenure at Columbia Police Department (CPD), Cpl. Johns served in the patrol division as a master patrol officer before being promoted to Corporal.

Cpl. Johns has been part of the Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Team, Juvenile Program, and City Council Security during his 28 years.

Thank you for your 28 years of dedication and service to the citizens of Columbia, Tennessee. You will truly be missed.
