David Carl Browning, age 53, resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 22 at his residence.
A funeral service for David will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 25 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born December 5, 1967, in Corning, AR, David was the son of Larry Browning Sr. of Arkansas and Victoria Brown (John) Cummins of Centerville, Ruby Owens, who raised him as her own, and Ray Dawes, who was very influential in his life. David worked in construction with Bowman Work, Inc., the previous owner of David’s Tree Service, for many years. He liked to fish, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle, tinker with and fix anything. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son: Blake Browning (Shelby Winters) of Culleoka; daughters: Britnee (Zachary) Sisk of Mt. Pleasant, Breanna Holt (Garret Munn), Faith Browning (Dylan Kelley), and Destinee Browning (Cameron Hardison), all of Columbia; brothers: Larry (Christy) Browning Jr. of Memphis and Josh Whitwell of Columbia; sisters: Angela (Frank) Bowman of Eads, Khristina (Jeff) Prince of Spring Hill and Vanessa (Craig) Stoddard of Ark.; grandchildren: Weston, Whitton and Wynn Sisk, McKenzie and Kaiden Munn, Hadleigh Browning and Ryatt Blake; grandmothers: Sally Brown and Elowese Browning; the mothers of his children: Melissa Browning of Columbia and Aletta Bratton of Hampshire; Johnathan Anderson, who was like a brother.
