Jim Hunt Holmes, Jr., a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation.
Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born January 2, 1947 in Moultrie, GA, Jim was the son of the late Jim Holmes, Sr. and the late Doris Holmes. He had his own horse riding stables and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim often gave trail rides for St. Jude’s Hospital and loved teaching gun safety classes. He enjoyed sharpshooting. Operating his horse-riding business brought him great joy.
Jim is survived by his daughter: Doris (Franklin Basta) Holmes of Columbia; and sister: Maribel Montgomery of GA.
