Linda Gail Knowles, age 72, a resident of Windsor Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at her residence.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 1:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Dan Reehil officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Resurrection in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Linda was born on October 25, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Walker Davis and the late Emma Morton Davis. She was a 1967 graduate of Columbia Central High School and worked forty years for JRN, Inc. before retiring in 2020. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine Catholic Church where she taught First Communion for thirty years and RCIA for many years. After retirement, she worked for the Maury County Food Bank. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandson, Zachary.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Michael (Christina) Knowles of Columbia, sister, Kaye Walters of Decatur County, grandson, Zachary Knowles of Columbia, niece, Nichole (Don) McClain of Parsons, and great-nieces and nephews, Gavin and Ella McClain and Zoey, John, and Noah McClain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Danny Walters.
Pallbearers will be Randy Sparkman, Drew Sparkman, Ray Seibold, James Grossheim, Carl Herr, and Gene McShane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pregnancy Center of Middle Tennessee, 704 Dunnington St, Columbia, TN 38401.
