Emergency medicine specialists Lindsey Burton, MD, and Lauren M. Sophiea, DO, have joined the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC). Both are affiliated with Middle Tennessee Emergency Physicians (MTEP).
Dr. Burton received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. She completed her residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center – Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Dr. Sophiea received her medical degree from A.T. Still University at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center – Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is board-certified in emergency medicine.
Middle Tennessee Emergency Physicians is a local, independent group that provides physicians and advanced practice providers to health systems. MTEP currently serves seven other hospitals in Middle Tennessee in addition to MRMC and Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg.
