1Columbia Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

 

Saturday, December 2
6pm – 8pm

Columbia Main Street Corporation, in partnership with the City of Columbia, will host the 37th Annual Columbia Main Street Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Columbia’s Historic Downtown.

With a record number of over 120 participants this year, the parade begins at 6:00 PM and marches east down West 7th Street into Downtown Columbia. At the conclusion of the parade, festivities kick off for the lighting of Columbia’s 40-foot Christmas tree topper around 7:15 PM on the courthouse steps, hosted by DJ Amped. This year’s parade & tree lighting is made possible by our generous community partners and Grand Marshal Sponsor Stan McNabb Chevrolet Columbia.

2Maury Christmas Home Tour

 

Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2
9am – 4pm

The Maury Christmas Home Tour has become almost a tradition in Maury County, Tennessee. The event started in 1951 as the “Majestic Middle Tennessee Tour of Homes” and was held annually in the Fall. Over the years, it has evolved into the Maury Christmas Tour of Homes held yearly during the first weekend in December.

The 2023 tour hours are 9am – 4pm on December 1st and 2nd.

A variety of public and private homes will open their doors to guest during this weekend event.

One $25 ticket gives tour-goers access to all the tour sites. The tour is a fundraiser for the Athenaeum in Columbia, Tennessee.

3Cozy Cocoa First Friday at Baxter’s Mercantile

Santa is stopping by Living on 6th the Saturday before AND after Thanksgiving for free photos from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Grab your camera and round up the kids (and even the pups) for this free family event! The goats of Sweet Swizzle Farm and Spider-man will be there too from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

It’s an event packed with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories for families.

4Christmas Trees at Row&Co

206 Depot Street, Columbia

Row&Co is selling live Christmas trees & offering holiday cheer again for the 5th season! Come sit around the fire, walk through the forest of trees, listen to Christmas music & usher in the Holidays! Tree lot hours for this weekend are: Friday, December 1, 3pm-6pm; Saturday, December 2, 10am-6pm and Sunday, December 3, 1pm-6pm. Click here for more dates and times.

5‘Down a Country Road’ Art Show

Theta General Store
2278 Les Robinson Road, Columbia

Curator and participating artist Anne Goetze has brought together a group of friends and talented local artists for a show starting November 11, 2023 and running every Saturday and Sunday through December 10, 2023 at the Theta General Store near Columbia, Tennessee.

The location of the show is an old country general store that, once inside, looks like an old saloon. There will also be music from Ricky Rector, Suzi Ragsdale, the building’s owner Bill Schleicher and as mentioned, Karen Brooks on Sunday afternoons.

The store is located at 2278 Les Robinson Road, Columbia, Tennessee. It is off Carter’s Creek Pike, halfway between Franklin and Columbia. The exhibit will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or by appointment by calling (931) 797-1746.
