1Long Road Home Film Screening

Friday, March 21
The Mulehouse
812 S. High St, Columbia
The Mulehouse is honored to share this story as told straight from the Cash family and friends. Their compelling story of addiction is raw and untold at this depth. Before the film, there will be a welcome from the filmmakers and a chance to meet Mark Cash (nephew of Johnny Cash). They will set up the film and Mark will perform several of the iconic songs from the Cash family prior to the film.
After the film showing, there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers as well as Mark Cash. Mark will close the evening with acoustic songs.
ABOUT THE FILM:
This one hour film features the nine members of the Cash Family as they share their family’s untold journey with chemical addictions. This is a path that was also shared between lifelong friends Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins, as told by Carl’s son, Stan. This film depicts a story of this family that represents grace, effort and bravery beyond imagination.
Kris Kristofferson shared “this film has explored the complexities and realities of addiction with honesty and heart rarely touched upon. The silent agony and baffling pull that has destroyed so many lives is looked straight in the eye with wondrous courage.”
