On Friday at 7:30pm, Baxter’s will light up the building with lots of beautiful Christmas lights and also have beautiful Christmas trees & garlands throughout the store. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy hot cider & food sampling & enter to win door prizes!

On Saturday November 4th, Baxter’s will host a Christmas Open House from 10am-5pm.

4Duck River Jam

Duck River Jam, a community event intended to raise awareness and funds to fight a proposed landfill along the Duck River, will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, at Cherry Theater at Columbia State Community College.

The event, which will feature performances by local musicians as well as a silent auction, is being organized by the concerned citizens’ group Protect the Duck River.

5Downtown Columbia Walking Tour

President James K Polk Home & Museum

Get to know the history of downtown Columbia through stories of the Polk family’s influence, and maybe even a scandal or two!

This interactive tour will begin and end at the President James K. Polk Home & Museum and takes participants around the downtown area. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and does not include a tour of the Polk Home itself. Visitors should dress weather appropriate and wear comfortable shoes.

Participants should purchase their tickets ahead of time through Eventbrite. The tour will meet out front of the Polk Home at 9am.
