Mrs. Billie Jean Scribner Warren, 84, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, peacefully passed to the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family on August 9, 2021.

Funeral services for Billie Jean Warren will be conducted Thursday, August 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Clark Albright officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends one hour before the service. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Maury County native was born on February 16, 1937. Billie Jean was the adored daughter of the late William D. and Helen Mary Scribner of Columbia, Tennessee. Billie Jean was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1955 and continued her education at Belmont College of Nursing. She was a gifted pianist and enjoyed playing the piano at church and for family. She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church, where she joyfully served in many different roles. Billie Jean was a Woman’s Mission Union Director and volunteered to coordinate meals for the Baptist Student Union. Billie Jean was an active member of the Maury County Christian‘s Women’s Club. She possessed a faithful servant’s heart and volunteered for the Good Samaritan Outreach Program for many years, which allowed her to show kindness and love to her community through her continued service.

On October 13, 1958, she married James Hardin Warren and was married for 47 years. Billie Jean was a Christian example to her family and was a loving and devoted mother to three dear children; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Terri Warren of Florida and Michael and Juanita Warren of Tullahoma, Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Clark Albright of Columbia.

She treasured her grandchildren, Tim Warren of Tullahoma, Courtney (Steven) Hines of Tullahoma, Katie Albright, Bethany Albright, and Preston Albright of Columbia. She adored her great-grandchildren, Blake Potts and Kenleigh Legg of Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Hardin Warren, and her parents William D. and Helen Scribner. She has left a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love and grace and was a Christ-like example to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts, we know the Lord is glad to have his faithful servant.

Active pallbearers will be Gary Baker, Rabon Dodson, Don Rose, Charles Cole, Larry Brown, and Ian Derrick. Honorary pallbearers will be William Warren, Mike Warren, Tim Warren, Clark Albright, Preston Albright, Blake Potts, and past and present members of Northside Baptist Church.
