Charles Jenkins, age 91, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at his residence.
Born on September 27, 1931, in Spring Hill, Charles was the son of the late Sam Bond and the late Charlie W. Johnson.
He was educated in the Maury County School System and worked eighteen years as a custodian at Spring Hill High School. He loved walking horses and enjoyed being outdoors.
He is survived by his son, Troy (Kimberly) Jenkins of Columbia and granddaughter, Abreonna Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Anderson providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. His body will lie in state on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Duke, Reggie Lockridge, Rick Davidson, Horace Minnieweather, Billy Williams, and Quinton Polk.
