Mr. Chris Thurman, 49, resident of Creek Trail in Columbia, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Carl May officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born September 21, 1971 he was the son of N.C. Thurman and the late Carolyn (Mike) Harris Littrell. On October 7, 2006 he married Tammy Richardson Thurman.
Mr. Thurman was a former truck driver. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Nascar, wrestler, and Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepson, Jeremy (Jennifer) Stewart; special great-nephew and nieces who he helped rear, Brooklyn Franklin, Michael Franklin, and Kaylee Holder; step-granddaughters, Rachel (Dylan) Green and Emma Stewart; brother, Tim (Cheryl) Thurman; sister, Jessica Collom; step-father, Mike Littrell; nieces, Sami Thurman, Emma Davis, Hadley Collom, and Spenser Collom.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandfather, Glenn Harris.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Stewart, Michael Franklin, Ricky Dodson, Eddie Harvey, Bishop Turrentine, and Eli Turrentine.
