Deena Joan Trousdale

Mrs. Deena Joan Himes Trousdale, age 70, of Mt. Pleasant, TN was born April 2, 1951 to the late Arthur and Ida Frances Bell Himes. Deena was the oldest of three sisters.

She left us and went to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on January 1, 2022.

Deena worked as a faithful home-maker, wife, and mother. She was employed at Mt. Pleasant Elementary and High School for more than twenty years.

Deena was a devoted life-long member of Southside Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving others by teaching children’s church, youth group, and Sunday school. She especially enjoyed her days at Youth Camp at Naco. More than anything, Deena loved spending time with her family. She loved going to her grandchildren’s ballgames and school functions at Zion. She also loved taking them on “Special Outings!”

The visitation with friends and family will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN. A celebration of life ceremony honoring Deena will be conducted Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN with Brother Matt Beard and Brother Jimmy Nave officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: William and Will Trousdale, Steven, Samuel, Seth, and Spencer Shewbart, Kevin & Doug Sims.
