Dorothy Marie “Dottie” Russell Musgrove, 88, retired bookkeeper for Dr. Cary Pulliam, retired employee of Middle Tennessee Bank, and resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care.
Born December 3, 1934, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Willard Wilson Russell and the late Opal Higgins Russell.
On December 4, 1952, she married Orvil J. Musgrove who preceded her in death on May 17, 2019. She was a graduate of Campbellsville High School. Mrs. Musgrove enjoyed meeting people and loved to read. She was a member of Rose Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Coleman Musgrove of Columbia; son, Jeffrey Wade Musgrove of Franklin; grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) Musgrove, Brent (Erin) Musgrove, Jake Musgrove, Zac Musgrove, Emily (Jake) Welsh, Caitlin Musgrove; great-grandchild, Josie Musgrove; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Musgrove; daughters-in-law, Karen Musgrove, Lisa Musgrove; and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 22, at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Giles County. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
