OBITUARY: Dovie ‘Christine’ Webb

Dovie “Christine” Webb, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee.

Christine was born on November 29, 1931, in Maury County, Tennessee to the late William Ander Baker and Fannie Mae Kelley Baker.

Christine was a devoted member of the Philippi Church of Christ, where she worshiped regularly. She was an accomplished quilter and canner and spent her days reading her Bible and cherishing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Mildred (W.L.) Baker and Luther Baker.

She is survived by her husband John, her sons Nelson and Steve, her daughter-in-laws Cathy and Jan, her grandchildren Kami and Billy Thurman, Neil and Elizabeth Webb, Justin and Kelsey Webb, and Cory Primm, her great-grandchildren Hayley Thurman, Billy Thurman, Brady Thurman, Kieley Webb, Maddox Webb, and Tyler Webb, as well as her sister Catherine (Dean) Potts and a host of nieces and nephews. Christine will be greatly missed by all who knew her and the memories she left behind will be cherished forever.

A service for Christine will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Josh Hardin officiating. Pallbearers will be Neil Webb, Justin Webb, Cory Pimm, Brady Thurman, Billy Thurman III, and Billy Thurman II.
Honorary pallbearers will include the members of the Philippi Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Christine will be laid to rest at Santa Fe Cemetery.
