Glenda “Mom” Rochester, age 73, passed away on January 19, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee.
Glenda was born on November 20, 1948, to Albert and Beedie Tuberville in Erin, Tennessee.
Mom was one of the most selfless people we have ever known. Mom always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Family meant everything to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother known as Grandma to her grandkids. She was a hard worker for nearly twenty years, working two full-time jobs as Housekeeping Supervisor during the day at Hillview Nursing Home and as a Nurse Tech at Maury Regional Hospital in the evenings. She always enjoyed being with her family and watching them grow.
She is survived by her two sons, Chris (Joan) Rochester, Mike (Michelle) Rochester, her four grandchildren, Shawn (Emily) Rochester, Kayla (Ben) Rochester Thomason, Wesley (Jordan) Rochester, Raymond (Brittney) Rochester, and also her three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Luke & Whitley Hope Rochester, and Roland Levi Thomason. She is proceeded in death by her husband William “Billy” Rochester, her parents, and her 11 siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Polk Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Rochester, Mike Rochester, Wesley Rochester, Raymond Rochester, Cody Kelley, Peyton Cates, and Josh Blair.
