James Howard Harris, Jr., age 69, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.
Born on January 26, 1954, in Canal Fulton, Ohio, James was the son of the late James Howard Harris and the late Margaret Louise Boshers Harris.
He worked over nineteen years as a Deputy Sherriff in St. Petersburg, FL, Tampa, FL, Canal Fulton, OH, and Louisville, KY. One of his biggest hobbies was working on cars, especially race cars, classic cars, and muscle cars. He often enjoyed going to car shows and gun shows. James also loved competition shooting and learning the history behind any and everything.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Michele Harris (Lucas Petit), Becky Harris, grandchildren, Nicholas Tiszai and Elliott Bledsoe, long time companion, Rosie Walter, and best friend, James Skinner.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend, David Boser.
