Jerry Thomas White, 83, retired Vice President of Middle Tennessee Bank, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Kenny McFarlan officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born June 28, 1938 in Maury County, he was the son of the late C. W. White and the late Madaline Davis White. He married Betty Jo Graves White who preceded him in death on November 22, 2008. He enjoyed sports, westerns, and coin collecting. Mr. White was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ.
Survivors include his sons, Mark (Melissa) White of Columbia; Tim (Wanda) White of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Roger Dale (Kathy) White of Columbia; Bobby Wayne (Irene) White of Columbia; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jered) Metcalf of Lenor City; Bethany (Josh) Lowry of Lawrenceburg; Stephanie (Daniel) Williams of Columbia; Elijah White of Mt. Pleasant; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Lowry, Abby Lowry, Kelsey Williams, Nathan Williams, and Emma Metcalf.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty White McHenry in 2013.
Active pallbearers will be Larry White, Dave Hall, Norman Harris, Roger White, Wayne White, Larry Gilliam, and Eddie Campbell. Honorary pallbearers include Massie Davis, Aubrey Davis, James A. Graves, Bill Marbet, Billy Graves family, and former employees of Middle Tennessee Bank.
