Joyce F. Runions, age 74, resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on February 23, 2022 at NHC Columbia.
Born September 22, 1947 in Lewis County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Runions and the late Nellie Florene Churchwell Runions.
Joyce enjoyed crocheting booties, blankets, small throws, and scarfs as gifts. She always knew everyone’s birthday, holidays, and loved everyone. Joyce enjoyed flowers. She was a member of Beech Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Lois.
Survivors include her brother, Frankie Floyd Runions of Mt. Pleasant; uncle, John A. “Johnny” Churchwell of Columbia; and cousins, John Wayne (Jeraldean) Churchwell and Phillis Gail Churchwell both of Columbia.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Danny Douglas and Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Caris Hospice for the care shown to Joyce over the last few weeks, Dr. Charles Ball, Dr. Robert Bain, the staff and friends she made at NHC Columbia, her church family at Beech Hill Church of Christ, Southpoint Church of Christ and South Gate Church of Christ for the many prayers and cards over the years. They meant so much to Joyce and she loved them all. Joyce would always say “The Lord be with you.”
