Kenneth Wayne Jett

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Jett, age 63, husband of Deborah Hill Jett, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at his residence, with his wife by his side.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsonville Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 18, 1958, in Maury County, Kenneth was the son of the late Everett Wilson Jett and the late Pauline Roberts Jett.

He married Deborah Hill on April 5, 1984. He was the owner of Kenneth Jett Painting and worked for several home builders and realtors in Maury County. Kenneth was a hard worker who enjoyed working, whether at work or at home. He loved the outdoors, spending time with his family and old friends, and his beloved dog Max.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Wendy Novak of Richmond, VA, brother, Mike Jett of Columbia, TN, sisters, Terri Dial (Bobby Mangrum) of Columbia, TN, Debra (Mike) Odam of Lewisburg, TN, sisters and brothers in law, Mary Scott of Culleoka, TN, Jane Ferguson of Columbia, TN, Lucy (Danny) Prince of Fayetteville, TN, Sherry (Rickey) Haskins of Columbia, TN, Wendall T. (Ceil) Hill of Goldsboro, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cora & Paul Roberts and Thelma Andrews.

The family would like to extend and special thanks to Dr. C. Houston Jameson and the nursing staff at the Cancer Center in Columbia, Dr. Gaylon Harris of Williamson County, special caretakers and friends, Sherry & Ricky Haskins, Dr. White, Dr. Jensen, and Mark Jett for their care and compassion for Kenneth over the years. A special mention also goes out to Danny Auville, the employees of Columbia Paint, Zeke Maddox and Crew, and the employees of Sherwin Williams.

Pallbearers will be Cory Scott, Josh Haskins, Chris Head, Mark Jett, Rickey Haskins, and Kyle Estes. Honorary pallbearers will include Ray Jett, Dennis Scroggins, Gene Smith, and David Riley.
