Josiah William Fisher

Josiah “Joey” William Fisher, age 17, a junior at Mt. Pleasant High School, was taken from this life on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, due to injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Kirk Shepard officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 29, 2004, in Sullivan, Indiana, Josiah was the son of (mother) Reneé Hawkins & Kevin Hooten and (father) David William Fisher & Armetta Clark.

In 2015 his family moved to Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Josiah was in the band at Mt. Pleasant Middle School where he enjoyed playing the trombone and baritone. He loved music and enjoyed bowling. One of his favorite hobbies was playing video games, and his favorite character was Mario. He spent a lot of time on his phone with music, his favorite color was red, and he had a special love for his pet guinea pig, Oreo. Josiah had a fascination with automobiles since a very young age, and he had plans on becoming a mechanic. He had a big heart and loved his family tremendously.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Layla-Jean Hawkins, Anastasia Hawkins, Julie-Ann Hawkins, grandparents, Loretta & Von Hawkins, great grandparents, Anna Snapp, Bessie “Tudi” Money, aunts, Christina Purcell, Jennifer Fisher, Kimberly Riddle, Layla Dima, Melissa Ribble, uncle, Nick Ribble, great aunts and uncles, Mary Leftrick, William H. Snapp, II, Marcy Runge, Debbie Alumbaugh, Sherri Bickle, Ray Money, Tudi Money, Fred Money, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Malakyé Fisher, grandparents, Cynthia “Cindi” Snapp Davis, Sandra K. Money, and Melvin Fisher, great uncle, Garland Money, and great aunt, Star Etchison.

Pallbearers will be Jason Schuckman, Edward Dickison, Stephen Walker, Brian Gray, Titus Fisher, and Evan Chatman.
