Larry Taylor Carroll

Mr. Larry Taylor Carroll, age 70, husband of Linda Carroll, and a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Friday evening, July 9, 2021, at St. Thomas West Hospital.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 3, 1951, in Morgan County, Michigan, Larry was the son of the late William Fate Carroll and the late Blanche Evelyn Bryant Carroll. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a man of few words but had a heart full of love and was one who stood for what he believed. He loved his Lord and served Him by helping others in need in many different ways. His family and friends knew they could count on him for help any time they needed it. He was a member of New Life Church in Lewisburg. Larry enjoyed fishing and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He proudly doted about them but also enjoyed picking on them and aggravated them, just as they did to him. He had a special love for his beloved Schnauzer, Mojo who passed away in 2019, and his two present Schnauzers, Otis and Brody, who are deeply grieving his loss.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Larry Carroll of Hohenwald, TN Lori Michelle (Jason) Gray of Washington State, Vince Morgan of Ethridge, TN, Monica Morgan of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Jeremy Morgan of Mt. Pleasant, TN, brother, Gary (Debbie) Carroll of Hohenwald, sister, Tammy (Rick) Brown of Hohenwald, TN, grandchildren, Aaliyah Merriman, Gabriella Carroll, Roman Gray, Jackson Gray, John Michael (Faith) Morgan, Jordan (Carter) Clanton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Larry’s life-long friends, Roger and Greg, for all their encouragement and love they have given him over the years also to his church family who has been so diligent with prayer and love in many ways. It is so comforting knowing they have the promise of their Savior that they will be together again with him forever.
