Luke McBee Tipton, age 29, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Minister Craig Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 21, 1992, in Abilene, Texas, Luke was the son of Greg and Susan Roberts Tipton. He married Sarah Bernhart on May 14, 2016 and worked as a carpenter for Aristeo Construction Company through the Mid-South Carpenters Union. He was an immensely avid reader who also enjoyed computer games and shooting archery. A big kid at heart, Luke was an exceptional big brother whose greatest trait was his kindness.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his brothers, Benjamin Tipton of Spring Hill, TN, John Tipton of Spring Hill, TN, Sam Tipton of Spring Hill, TN, sisters, Grace (Daniel) Krenz of Nashville, TN, Sarah (Andrew) Preston of Franklin, TN, Rebekah Tipton of Spring Hill, TN, grandparents, Dewey & Freada Tipton of Texas, J.J.M. & Kathryn Roberts of Michigan, father and mother in law, John & Valerie Bernhart of Columbia, TN, brother in law and sister in law, Daniel (Angel) Bernhart of Bon Aqua, TN, and beloved Yorkie, Horatio.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Tipton, John Tipton, Sam Tipton, Daniel Krenz, Andrew Preston, Daniel Bernhart, and Hunter Whatley.
