Lydia Cathy McDade Foster, 70, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at NHC HealthCare Columbia.
Born January 8, 1954 in Nashville, TN., she was the daughter of the late Wendell James McDade and the late Lillian Bell Jeter McDade.
Mrs. Foster enjoyed fishing, watching old T.V. shows, going to the beach, and listening to the ocean. She loved to listen to music and dance, but her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Kensley.
Survivors include her two sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Foster and David (Robin) Foster; three grandchildren, Mikayla Foster, Ryan Foster, and Kensley Foster; and two brothers, Michael (Kim) McDade, and Patrick “Bobie” McDade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of forty-four years, Charles Wayne Foster.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jimmy Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Gardens Cemetery in Summertown. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
