Marsha Sherrie Denise Howell Overstreet, age 70, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Sherrie was born February 15, 1951, in Columbia, Tennessee to the late M.C. Howell and the late Dot Howell.
Sherrie was a person with a sunny disposition. She smiled nearly all of the time. She loved to get out on Saturday mornings and pick through yard sales and visit thrift stores searching for good bargains. During the fall after yard sales, she would cheer on the Tennessee Volunteers. She was an avid UT fan. Sherrie was a loving wife mother and grandmother; her family was her whole world. She spent 53 years married to the love of her life Wayne and there wasn’t one second of it that she wasn’t worrying about Wayne. Sherrie was a bright spot in this world and she is loved and will be dearly missed.
Sherrie is survived by her husband: Wayne Overstreet; children: Timmy (Karen) Overstreet, Bobby Joe (Lynn Wells) Overstreet, Carol Renae Blankenship; Mark (Ashton) Overstreet; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister: Joan Rice, Cleo Dillehay, and Dot Williams. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mark Howell, Robert Howell, and Ruby Boyd.
The family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2021, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Bros. Devon Thrasher and Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
