Martha Sue Bane, age 74 passed away on December 31, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Martha was born in King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Campbell Malon LeMay and Martha Louise Tidwell LeMay.
Martha at her core was always a caring woman, a nurturer at heart. Whether it was tending to her garden or raising children in her daycare. She cared for her garden and had quite the green thumb unless she brought any indoors, then the poor plants were in trouble. She is a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and Aunt. In addition to her caring nature, she was strong. Twice she fought cancer and won. She had a strong faith and loved her Lord. Martha attended Mill Creek Baptist Church. Martha was a kind person and her light that she had will be dearly missed.
The family will visit friends Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. A celebration of Martha’s life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating.
Martha is survived by her daughters: Gena Sue Riley and Jackie Tanner; grandson: Robbie Riley; granddaughter: Heather Charisse Tanner and Ian Parker Tanner; great-grandchildren: Emily Reese Vetitoe and Eric Vetitoe; siblings: Brenda Hickman, Patsy McCurdy, Janice Barton, Ricky LeMay, Terry LeMay, Kim Pruitt.
Martha was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother Timothy Jason LeMay.
Pallbearers will be: Cruz Sanchez, Derek Barton, Terry LeMay, Daniel Vetitoe.
