Ms. Noxie Ann Ridley was born November 29, 1947, in Franklin, Tennessee, to the late Annie Frances Helm Ridley and Ernest Ridley Sr., Noxie Ann Ridley, age 73, was a cherished pillar of her community and faith. She peacefully departed this life on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the unwavering love and care of her devoted family.
Educated in Williamson County’s public school system, Ms.Ridley graduated with the Class of 1966 from Natchez High School. Her journey of faith began at an early age when she gave her life to Christ. She served as a devoted doorkeeper for the Lord at Little Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church under Elder James Coure until her health began to fail.
Usher Noxie Ann Ridley was a beacon of faith and righteousness within the Primitive Baptist Denomination. Her disciplined life of unwavering devotion to Christ and her radiant example of holiness inspired generations of believers. As a beloved usher she traveled throughout Tennessee, fulfilling her calling with grace and steadfast commitment. Clad in dignified white attire, she stood as a spiritual guide and symbol of unity, reinforcing the shared identity of believers while joyfully glorifying God through her every step.
Known for her open heart and caring smile, Noxie worked tirelessly in her community. Whether assisting with horse training or serving through her career with Meals on Wheels, she devoted herself to helping others with kindness and humility. Her influence extended far beyond her congregation, leaving a legacy of love, wisdom, and service.
Preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Ms. Noxie Ann Ridley leaves cherished memories with her brother, James (Susan) Ridley Sr.; her devoted sister, Sandra Ridley; her aunt, Tommie Johnson; her devoted nephew, Timothy Ridley; and her devoted niece, Pamela Claighborne. She is further remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as her devoted friends James (Susie) Coure, Annette Lane, and Mary Otey.
With so few “legacy ushers” remaining, Mrs.Noxie Ann Ridley’s passing leaves an immense void. Yet, her holy and devoted life reminds us of the transformative power of faith and the enduring impact of service. As we mourn this tremendous loss, we give thanks to God for blessing us with the presence of such an extraordinary servant, celebrating her legacy as it continues to inspire us to live with purpose and grace.
