Ms. Sherry Davis Bates, 60, a resident of Columbia, died Friday, October 1, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Ms. Bates will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Harold Richardson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Spencer Hill Cemetery. Born July 28, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Jack Julius Davis and the late Mary Etta Davis Oliver. Ms. Bates greatest joy in life was her dog and best friend “Hoochie” who she revolved her life around.
Survivors include her sister, Tammy Davis; sister-in-law, Kimberly Davis; nieces, Amanda Lewis, Robin Osborne, Melissa Gray, Denise Salerno, Beth Gray, and Rebecca Sanders; nephews, Harold Richardson, Jr., Michael Davis Jr., Mitchell Davis, Mickey Davis, Lucas Davis, and Travis Wiseman; several great-nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Jeff Baker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dennis Davis, Mike Davis Sr., Lou Ellen Miller, Gloria Ann Hendrix, and Jennifer Diane Wiseman.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Davis, Michael Davis Jr., Mickey Davis, Lucas Davis, Jeff Fautt, and Derek Gray.
