Troy Reed Majors, age 56, resident of Columbia, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Troy was born October 31, 1965 in Davidson County and was the son of the late Robert B. Majors and the late Norma Jean Work.
He served our country in the United States Navy for eight years. Some of his hobbies included fishing and tinkering with vehicles. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids.
Troy is survived by his children, Caitlyn Holder of Culleoka, Wiley (Lois) Holder of Culleoka, Matthew Majors, and Angela Majors; fiancé, Jowanda Kerr of Columbia; brother, Tony (Karry) Majors of Chapel Hill; sisters, Stephanie (Fred) Henderson of Mt. Pleasant and Pennye Weston; grandchildren, Kynzley, Colten, Kyzer, Canyen, Shania, and Jayston; and special friend, Stacey Doles of Nashville.
Along with his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Papa and Mama Work.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22nd at 10 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, September 21st from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
