Willa Mae “Willie” Jordan, age 84, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her residence.
Born on September 24, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, Willie was the daughter of the late Willie Wilson and the late Gertie Bullock Wilson.
She attended Clark High School in Mt. Pleasant and was of the Baptist faith. She loved playing Checkers and previously enjoyed working word puzzles. She also enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, and shopping. She will be greatly missed by her children and other family members and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Portia Diane Wilson of Columbia, Norma Calloway of Nashville, Michael Jordan of Columbia, John Robert Jordan of Columbia, Billy Jordan of Columbia, sister, Joyce Ann McGavock of Columbia, fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Jordan.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following at Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as flower girls.
