Chief of Police Jeremy Alsup named FTO Allen Johnson as the Columbia Police Department’s Officer of the Month for June 2023.
Field Training Officer (FTO) Allen Johnson responded to a domestic disturbance.
FTO Johnson’s investigation of this incident led him establishing probable cause to make an arrest for Domestic Simple Assault.
During his investigation, FTO Johnson discovered that a previous incident had occurred a week prior to the incident he was called to. FTO Johnson was able to establish probable cause for the previous incident which led to an additional charge of Domestic Simple Assault.
FTO Allen Johnson’s attention to detail and thoroughness of his investigation provided the best possible service for the victim.
