The Factory at Columbia

A benefit concert for CASA of Maury County featuring The Stolen Faces, celebrating the music of the Grateful Dead will be held this Friday! This is an all ages event. Please bring a photo ID for access to wristbands for alcoholic beverages. Tickets are $50 and include food and beverages. CASA of Maury County, Inc has a mission to support children at risk of or being placed in the foster care system by providing them with a court-appointed volunteer advocate who champions for their best interest until the child is in a safe, permanent home.

3. Paint the Town Plein Air Art Festival

Purchase a glass and sip and stroll through Mount Pleasant’s wonderful small shops. At each shop, you’ll be able to get a “sip” and taste all the great wines that Amber Falls offers. Join fellow members of the community as artists set up around the beautiful town and paint “what they see.” Then “Sip and Stroll” through the downtown shops and taste different wines from sponsor Amber Fall Winery. A $10 purchase of their special “Main Street Mount Pleasant” glass will allow you to sample these great wines. The paintings will be offered for sale during our silent auction.

4. The Gatlin Brothers

Larry Gatlin was born in Seminole, Texas, the son of a driller in the oil field. The oldest of the three Gatlin brothers, he was already accompanying younger brothers, Steve and Rudy in singing at family and church events. From 1976 to 1992 the brothers toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada and overseas. They racked up hit after hit and banked some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. Larry penned every Gatlin Brothers hit you’ve ever heard.  Larry Gatlin has written songs that were later recorded by Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Charlie Rich, Johnny Mathis, Dottie West and many more.1992 marked a farewell to concert touring for the Gatlin Brothers as they completed their ADIOS TOUR with a CD of the same name.Then came a major turning point in his career. Larry took the lead role on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning musical “The Will Rogers Follies.”

5. Brew & Distillery Tour

Asgard Brewing Co

Join Do South Tours for a Brew & Distillery Tour! They will pick up/drop off at Asgard Brewing Co. They will leave Asgard at 1:00pm and head to Bad Idea Brewing in Columbia. From there, they will head south to Big Machine Distillery with a pit stop in Lynnville for lunch and photo op from about 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Next, Big Machine tour and tasting from about 4:00pm to 5:00pm then we’ll head back to Columbia!
