Carla Jean Mayberry, age 38, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at her residence.
Born on September 1, 1983, in Columbia, Tennessee, Carla was the daughter of Carl Edward & Sherry Lanius and Marcia Dunaway & Mark Thompson.
She loved her family, especially her son, Shyane Wayne Edward Mayberry. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and communicating with her many friends on social media. Carla had a special love for children and often enjoyed babysitting.
She is survived by her father, Carl Edward Lanius, mother, Marcia Dunaway Thompson, son, Shyane Wayne Edward Mayberry, sister Marsha Nicole (Jason) Llewellyn, special aunts, Phyllis Gilbert, Diane Faye Morris, Michelle Lanius, special uncle, James Wayne Lanius, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Edward & Maggie Reba Dunaway and James & Ella Lanius.
There will be a private memorial service at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
