Gwendolyn Surrell Goodman Hardison passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee, she was 75 years old.
Gwendolyn was born on October 11, 1946, to the late Arthur P. Goodman and Erma A. Surrell Goodman in Brooklyn, New York. She was a resident of Maury County for more than 50 years.
Gwendolyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister of Bill Goodman and David Goodman. She adored her family, especially doting on her grandchildren. Her warm spirit and tender heart could make anyone feel at home in her presence. Gwendolyn was a woman of faith. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Andy (Kandi) Hardison, Tracey (Alan) Groves, and Laura (Eric) Newsom; grandchildren: Alan Groves, Jr., Matthew Groves, Tyler Groves, Kayla Hardison, Connor Newsom, Cooper Newsom, and Madelyn Newsom; and two great-grandchildren: Alan Groves III and Annabelle Groves.
The family will receive friends and visitors at Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held at Morton Cemetery at 12:30 PM where she will be laid to rest.
