Surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones, Janelle McKinney Law passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2025, in Lewisburg, TN.
Born on May 30th, 1936, in Pulaski, TN, Janelle spent 88 joyous years touching the hearts of everyone she met. With gentle compassion and a heart full of kindness, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
Janelle carried herself with honesty, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to her family and faith. An honest, kind, and hardworking woman, Janelle was known for her compassionate spirit and intelligent mind.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life – curling up with a good book, creating delicious meals in her kitchen, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
An avid fan of the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Tennessee Titans, she loved watching football, basketball, and baseball games, often surrounded by family and friends.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Janelle cherished every moment spent with her family. Celebrating holidays at her home was a tradition she held dear, filling the house with the aroma of her cooking and the laughter of loved ones.
Her meals were legendary, prepared with love and a dash of her quick wit.
Janelle’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a long-time member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, she exemplified her love for Christ through her everyday actions, offering gentle words of encouragement and selfless acts of kindness to those in need.
She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, William “Bill” Law; her brother Joe McKinney; and her parents Elsie and Melba McKinney.
Janelle’s legacy lives on through her son Jason Law and daughter-in-law Anna Law; her grandchildren Blake (Jaqulyn) Law, Breanna Law, Brandon Law, Michael Wingfield, and Chase Wingfield; and her great grandsons Triston Law and Anson Law.
Janelle’s gentle compassion and kind gestures left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
As we mourn her passing from Lewisburg, TN, on February 8th, 2025, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led – a life filled with love, faith, and cherished memories.
