Mrs. Martha Norman, age 95, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Martha was born on January 16, 1930, in Stiversville located in Giles County, Tennessee to Lee and Clementine Marie McGowan Dial.
On February 18, 1948, she married the love of her life, Roy Norman. Martha loved her family tremendously and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and friend.
Known affectionately as “Muna” to her grandkids, their friends, and many others. She could light up a room with her sparkling blue eyes. She would be waiting as we gathered at her house after school with snacks in hand for all.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her daughter Pam (Dale) Dillehay; grandchildren: Amy (Will) Beasley and Tim Dillehay; great-grandchildren: Justin Dillehay and Taylor (Jacob Craig) Beasley; Great-great-grandchildren: Lennon and Halen Craig: several nieces and special friend, Rachel Black.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Clementine Marie McGowan Dial; husband, Roy Norman and siblings, J.W Dial, Mary (Jimmy) Jett, Ann (Gene) Norman, Rachel Walters, Nancy Dial and Bob (Nell) Dial.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Norman will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM and will be officiated by Bro. David Buffaloe. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to the start of the service on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers Tim Dillehay, Jerry Sullivan, Justin Dillehay, Josh Lamont, Will Beasley, and Jacob Craig. The family would like to give special thanks to Riverview Baptist Church and her special angels with her NHC care team.
