Wilma Jo Clark, age 65, wife of Jim Clark, and a resident of Lewisburg, formerly of Columbia, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at Life Care Center.
Born on December 22, 1957, in Fort Houston, Virginia, Jo was the daughter of the late Elbert Lovely and the late Jean Payton Lovely.
She married James “Jim” Clark on May 31, 1974, and together they had three children. She worked ten years for General Electric and later worked eleven years at ICP until transferring to Costco where she worked eleven years.
She enjoyed golfing, doing yardwork, and working in her flowers. Jo was a devout Christian who loved Jesus and was always willing to tell others about Him. She was of the Baptist faith and a former member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, Jim, of forty-nine years, she is survived by her children, James Lee (Dana) Clark, Jr. of Columbia, Stephanie Lynn (Joseph) Hood of Chapel Hill, Phillip Matthew Clark of Knoxville, brothers, Gary (Pauline) Lovely, Donald Lovely, Billy (Tracy) Lovely, sisters, Rhonda (David) Parker, Robin Cothran, grandchildren, James “Jamie” Lee Clark, III, Kaya Lynn Hood, Makenzie Jo Hood, Madisyn Ann Hood, Myles Dallas Hood, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Chuck Lovely, sister, Melanie Coleman, and mother and father-in-law, Sarah Elizabeth & Claude M. Clark, Sr.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points and Gary Batey officiating. A visitation was also be held on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. https://www.tnfunerals.com
