Here are the updates from the October 2022 City of Columbia Council meeting:

• Approved construction of $2.1 million streetscape project on South Garden Street
• Approved $60,000 in improvements to the Columbia Police Department facilities
• Approved installation of a 12,000 gallon fuel storage tank for the Public Works Department
• Approved purchase of a snow plow/salt spreader that attaches to a dump truck
• Approved the hiring of engineering firm to design way-finding monument signage to be located at Bear Creek Pike/Lasea Rd
• Approved a $30,000 Justice Assistance Grant for the replacement and upgrade of department segways
• Approved a $20,000 Tennessee Highway Safety Grant for replacing/increasing handheld radars, lidars, and traffic counters
