Dixie Fire Continues To Rage in California Two Months Later

Next week will mark two months of the Dixie Fire burning California to the ground. Firefighters have continued their efforts nonstop and the fire is still only 59% contained.

When I wrote this article previously, the fire was around 20% contained. The firefighters have done a tremendous job, but have so much to go. In the two months with a 39% increase in containment is a major improvement.

Right now, the fire has burned for over 900,000 acres of land. The fire is still ablaze in the California counties of Butte, Tehama, Plumas, Shasta and Lassen according to California Fire.

Those who are or have been affected by the fire are able to find relief supplies and other materials needed at Plumas County locations.

The fire cause is still under investigation.
